The PT6A powers thousands of regional, utility and military transport aircraft. Keeping those fleets flying depends on a supply chain that can deliver hot-section kits, life-limited parts and overhaul slots on schedule — anywhere in the world.

Why the PT6A matters to regional fleets

Across Africa and the Middle East, the PT6A is the workhorse of utility aviation. Its reliability record is exceptional — but that record depends entirely on disciplined maintenance and genuine parts.

When an operator cannot source a certified turbine blade or a fuel control unit in time, an otherwise airworthy aircraft sits on the ground. Fleet availability is a supply chain problem as much as an engineering one.

What the partnership covers

The partnership gives our customers access to approved overhaul facilities, rotable exchange pools and factory-new consumables — all released on 8130-3 or EASA Form 1 documentation.

It also formalises Hot Section Inspection kit supply, meaning operators can plan HSI events around their operating schedule rather than around parts availability.

Reducing turnaround time

Engine events are won or lost in the planning. By securing shop capacity in advance and pre-positioning critical parts, turnaround times can be compressed from months to weeks.

Our engine programs team manages the entire lifecycle — removal coordination, shipping, shop liaison, warranty administration and certified return-to-service — so the operator deals with one accountable partner instead of a dozen vendors.

“Engine management is won or lost in the planning, long before the engine reaches the shop.”
