Industrial raw materials: meeting the demand for high-grade stainless steel in Egypt

From food processing lines in the Delta to marine fabrication in Alexandria, demand for certified stainless steel has never been higher. The challenge is no longer finding material — it is finding material with documentation that survives inspection.

Demand drivers in Egyptian industry

Food and beverage plants, pharmaceutical facilities and port infrastructure all require corrosion-resistant material with verifiable composition. As export markets tighten their standards, Egyptian fabricators increasingly need EN 10204 3.1 certification to compete.

This shift has changed purchasing behaviour: price per tonne still matters, but traceability per batch now matters more.

Grade selection: 304 versus 306

Grade 304 remains the default for general fabrication, but marine and chemical applications increasingly specify higher-molybdenum variants for chloride resistance. Selecting the wrong grade is an expensive mistake that only appears years later, in service.

Our engineers review application conditions — temperature, media, weld procedures — before recommending a grade, because the certificate only protects you if the material behind it is right for the job.

Certification and mill traceability

Every bundle of sheet, bar, plate or tube we supply is tied to a mill test certificate with full chemical and mechanical results. Material is cut to size on request, with edge finishing and marking that preserves traceability through the workshop.

A certificate is only as good as the supply chain behind it — which is why we source exclusively from audited mills and hold documentation for the life of the project.
